An area where the sheer open face of the Western Ghats is exposed to the full might of the South West Monsoon and the valleys below drain the highest rainfall in Goa. This drainage system, a complicated zig zagging of valleys with a stunning cover of dripping evergreen forest forms the escape for the outpouring of water that is the Mahdei River System.
